Unfortunately, I felt like this lost a lot of the momentum from the first. The story was enjoyable but nothing that made me laugh out loud, nothing that made me think deeply about social constructs and no bowls of petunias.
I will probably read more of Adam's work but more as a palate cleanser. In my eyes, Adam's hasn't nailed creating an absurdist series to nearly the same level as Terry Pratchett. The difference being that this book felt like a whitty absurdist book, whilst Terry's books are always so much more.
A solid book but nothing particularly special.
