On the whole, I loved this collection. Some poems, such as "Names" will stay with me for a long time. Others I felt we're like something I'd read on a poem a day desk calendar. Maybe they were meant to be light and playful? More likely the intent went straight over my head. At any rate, I felt these few underdeveloped poems knocked it down from a 5 star collection to 4.5 stars.
Nonetheless, I will definitely be reading more by Wendy Cope.
