A beautiful collection of essays focusing on concepts of nationality, race, home, life and death. I would happily read anything by this author.
My only criticism (and it may be because I've misunderstood the objective of the book) is that it lacked profoundness. That is, the main concepts and phrases that really resonated with me with were quotes from other poets rather than the author.
That aside I loved the confessional roots of these essays and the beautifully eloquent prose.
